Borlido Baga Bairrada Rosé Brut Nature received a Very Good rating from Paixão pelo Vinho.
Baga, time and oenological choice
All four wines begin with Baga, a defining grape of Bairrada. Rui Cruz leads the oenology and makes the range as Brut Nature, allowing the base wine, acidity and cellar ageing to remain fully visible.
Borlido has been part of Destilaria Levira since 2020. Technical capacity, regional knowledge and Rui Cruz's exacting work have shaped a more defined phase of the house while preserving its link to 1933.
Heritage with a present voice
The distinctions arrive as Borlido strengthens its two families, Blanc de Blancs and Baga Bairrada, and prepares a clearer presence in Portugal and international markets.
The heritage reaches far back. The way forward is new.
“Baga allows no shortcuts. These wines came from patient harvests and long ageing, at the pace set by the land.”Rui Cruz, Borlido winemaker
