Sparkling wine from Bairrada

In Bairrada, sparkling wine grows from Atlantic influence, grapes with natural acidity and a long practice of the traditional method.

01

The base wine needs freshness

Second fermentation and ageing add texture and complexity, but they cannot replace tension in the base wine. Grape selection and harvest timing are therefore decisive.

At Borlido, Bical, Arinto and Maria Gomes form the Blanc de Blancs. Baga supports the Baga Bairrada family, vinified as white or rosé.

02

Time is not an abstract claim

During lees ageing, the wine gains integration, a finer bead and aromas that may recall bread, brioche, nuts and pastry.

Each Borlido wine has a defined minimum ageing period and an additional rest after disgorgement.
